Guidelines for a Double Major
A student enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences may complete the German major together with any other B.A. major program in the College and receive a double-major B.A. degree. A double major with German lends an exciting global dimension to cultural, political, and economic subjects. For students planning a high school teaching career, it can be especially worthwhile to combine a German major with another foreign language, with English, or with a science. Triple majors are also possible.
Guidelines for a Dual Bachelor's Degree
A student may also complete a B.A. in German with a second degree in the College (usually a B.S. degree) or in an IUB school other than the College. For example, many students combine a German major with a B.S. in a science field or pursue a second degree in a school such as the Jacobs School of Music or the Kelley School of Business.
