I am a PhD student in the Religious Studies and Comparative Literature departments. I graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2009 with a double-major in Philosophy and German Studies. After graduating, I worked for ten years in web analytics, programming, and marketing. More recently, I earned my M.A. from the University of Chicago’s Divinity School in 2019 with a concentration in Religion and Literature. My current theoretical interest center around the precise relationship of literature to politics, and my areas of research include 20th-century American, Holocaust, and Jewish literatures.
