Cynthia Shin
For the GSA 2025, I organized a seminar at the German Studies Association on science fiction in German classrooms. It was a very productive conversation and we hope to continue studying and teaching German sf. This summer, I finished my first peer-reviewed article "Mediated Re-enactment," a comparative study of Milo Rau and Jurgen Kuttner, which will appear in the next special issue of Documenta. I am no longer afraid of the proverbial Reviewer 2 because whatever they said helped me transform my essay to be better.
