About Louise
Louise Bassini has a BA in German-Portuguese translation from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Brazil. She is in our modern literature and culture track. Her main interests are in Goethe and psychoanalysis and she currently works on Goethe’s characters. She also has a strong interest in structural linguistics. She has co-authored a publication on translation. Besides German, she also speaks Russian and Spanish, and she has foundational knowledge in Latin.
