Katharina’s research interests are contemporary Austrian and German literature and theatre, gender, architecture and the reception of the antiquity. Prior to attending IU, Katharina received a B.A. from the University of Vienna, Austria in Comparative Literature and German Philology and a M.A. Degree in Languages and Cultures from Lancaster University, UK where she wrote her honors thesis about contemporary political fiction using works by Ali Smith and Elfriede Jelinek.
