In 1784 Immanuel Kant answered the question 'What is Enlightenment?' in a short article. A good 240 years later, the question is still alive and pressing, to say the least. Especially since it is impossible to answer it the same way as Kant did back then. Or as Adorno did 1944. Or Foucault in 1984.
I will therefore try to outline the current conditions and possibilities to answer this question in an enlightening way - as Kant taught us to.
