- Topic: Heroes and Antiheroes in German Literature before 1600
This course will examine heroes and antiheroes in German literature before 1600, with a focus on the high Middle Ages. The course will be conducted in English. All texts will be read in the original language (Old, Middle, and Early Modern High German); no experience reading these languages is required, but one does need at least some reading knowledge of Modern German.
