Topic: Perceptions holocaust socl med
What does the Holocaust mean to us today? How are references to the Holocaust used on social media? We will look at the history of perceptions of the Holocaust in the U.S. and Germany, including distortions and denial before we begin our research on social media. You will start with explorative research that leads to a dictionary of keywords that we will use to scrape social media posts that evoke the Holocaust in various ways. We will then analyze and contextualize in-depth recurrent themes and tropes that we find online.
