GER-G 421 (TR 3:55-5:10): Contemporary Germany Overview This course provides a vibrant sense of contemporary Germany in a wide array of fields, including literature, philosophy, theater, film, linguistics, music, and politics. We touch on topics of recent history, immigration and diversity, and memory and views of the Second World War and the Holocaust. Hosting multiple guest lectures, the course introduces you to research by current Germanic Studies faculty members. The course will also give you a behind-the-scenes look at the pedagogy of language courses. The course will be in German. All material will be provided on Canvas or through IU eTexts.
