Course Description

Topic:

This course offers an introduction to morphology with a special focus on the German language. The course culminates in an analysis of the "tricky" aspects of German morphology, such as strong verbs and adjective endings. By the end of this course, you will be able to:

1. Identify morphological compenents of words.

2. Clearly identify and categorize morphological processes, such as the distinction between inflectional and morphological phonology.

3. Analyze paradigms from a wide variety of world languages.

4. Tackle issues in German morphology that are difficult for language learners, such as adjective endings.

5. Use the above skills to improve your German grammar.
