German Adaptive Proficiency Exam for International Baccalaureate (IB) Students

Incoming freshmen who enrolled in International Baccalaureate (IB) courses in German while in high school may be awarded credits only after taking the German Adaptive Proficiency Exam, administered on campus by the Indiana University Bloomington Evaluation Services and Testing (BEST).

These students are still required to take the German Online Placement Test, also administered by BEST, as incoming freshmen. For more information, contact the Germanic Studies undergraduate student services assistant.
